Weekly Buzz – 10/29/19

Hello Collectors,

This week is an exciting one for WallaBee! As 3.0 development continues, we have shared another snapshot of some QoL improvements to the app. Stay engaged on social media for new content related to 3.0 and other daily changes!

Are you prepared to meet the man of the hour? That’s right, our Modern Myths set is prepped for completion, so you can begin clearing out your pouches in preparation for the Halloween set. Although the dead do not feel rest, you can rest assured knowing that Reliqua Rimor will not be a one-day set! With Halloween only two days away, it’s all treats and no tricks from the WallaBee team… But first, let’s review what the last week had in store for WallaBee.

Item Feature

This week we have two items in the spotlight. Have you found the Sports Day Grab Bag? Spoiler alert: there’s a free toy inside! As seasoned WallaBee players know, Grab Bags contain items from their specific set, revealed to players upon opening the bag. Are you lucky enough to find a rare Wallagraphic item? If you are so lucky, the Sports Day Grab Bag will reveal none other than the Space Hopper Race item, featuring some rather bouncy bounty hunters.

3.0 Updates

We’ve been putting out teaser videos, and we’re happy to announce that we are very close to our 3.0 app launch! What fun features will the newest version of WallaBee contain? We have some videos for you to check out and see!

Whether you’re working on completing a set or getting lucky with the Mixerpool, saving new items is easier than ever! Check out this video to see how. Want even more 3.0 content? See how you can earn daily rewards for playing your favorite collecting game!

Coming Soon!

You can expect the first Reliqua Rimor item to drop on Halloween day, but what timezone will it be in?! And that means we’ve “officially” started the holiday season, so there will be plenty of themed fun to come in the weeks ahead!

Weekly Buzz – 10/23/19

Hello Collectors,

We’re now just under a week away from Halloween, which means we have a spooky set in store for you! Stay tuned for the release of the first item in this 21 piece set that not only features some spooktacular artwork by Andy Cameron, but a scary ghoul’d story to follow! But for now, let’s take a moment to review our most recent item drops and set progressions!

Item Feature

This week we released our October TOP SECRET item, which turned out to be an Antimatter Chamber. This device is capable of splitting anything into its original components… with a catch. The idea behind this W*ACME item is to split the result of mixing (purple egg) back into its original ingredients (red and blue eggs). However, this machine doesn’t revive the destroyed numbers, but rather gives the user two new ingredients.

While this item doesn’t actually work, it’s a cool concept!

Set Progress

Our recent item drops have revolved around PC2, with these three Pouch Creatures starting to level up! Dr Miu Chudoku has discovered that the base forms of these creatures can react to various gems! Sparbee can evolve into Sparfox by using a Fire or Air Gem, Kalmaar can evolve into Kalmainium by using a Water or Depths Gem, and Umbra can evolve into Umbrasaur by using an Earth or Lightning Gem!

Dr Miu Chudoku continues her research on the remaining eight undiscovered Pouch Creatures. There has to be a connection between them.

Coming Soon!

While you eagerly await the release of this year’s Halloween set, keep an eye out for more information on WallaBee 3.0! You’ll find new information shared on the blog and our social media accounts as we get closer to the big reveal!

WallaBash 2019 Recap!

It’s officially been two weeks since WallaBash 2019, and though the weather is changing here in Texas, our memories of the third annual player event haven’t faded with the summer heat! Whether you attended the event and want to revisit some fond memories, or you couldn’t make the trip to North Texas and want to see what it was all about, our WallaBash recap can fill you in on the details!

Who was there?

Product Manager Robbie and Lead Illustrator Andy reunited with dozens of players for a WallaFamily reunion! And, of course, it wouldn’t be a real reunion without Benson (and Mizak of ItemBrowser!) making appearances!

What did we do?

Players and staff alike had the chance to join in for some WallaBee fun! On the social side that included catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and finally turning usernames and profile pictures into real-life faces! WallaBee activities included in-game jousting, plenty of photo ops, and of course, trivia!

Unfortunately, no one shared images with us on social media using the #WallaBash2019 hashtag, so we don’t have any photos from the worldwide community to share. Better luck next year!

Were there prizes?

WallaBee Passports and free passport stickers were given to commemorate the weekend festivities for those in attendance. Though the staff didn’t appear in medieval garb, our cartoon personas were dressed to impress with medieval-themed costumes!

A special Achievement and Player Award were also randomly distributed to those in attendance!

Special WallaBash 2019 stickers were in line with the Medieval weekend theme

Weekend Wrap-up!

WallaBash, of course, coincides with Munzee’s annual Bash, which was MedZEEval Times themed this year. The WallaBee team joined the rest of Freeze Tag in the “Storm the Castle” Eventzee fun run on Sunday morning to wrap up a weekend full of item drops, friendly talks, and player fun!

Andy and Robbie are stationed at “Storm the Castle” on September 29, 2019 during Bash weekend’s conclusion
